Update......

Sorry I have not updated my blog in a long time.

I've been unwell for a long time but since last Summer it’s got worse and worse and as well as my disabilities ive been diagnosed with B12 deficiency so need 3 monthly jabs and I’m also having tests including MRI and CT scans for chronic fatigue, chronic headaches, dizziness etc.

2015 was another brilliant year despite being ill for half of it and I've had so many amazing opportunities. I was junior vice-captain at Brynmeadows golf club, junior captain at Rhondda golf club, played for both junior 1st teams, volunteered at Valleys Golf and First Swing Academy 2 nights every week, volunteered with Golf Development Wales, went to the Inclusive Futures National camp in Loughborough, been a mentor and ambassador for Swansea Inclusive Futures, am a Golf Development Wales National Youth panel member, became a Gold Young Ambassador, was called back to do a second year on the RCT Future Champions programme, played for Wales with the disabled Welsh team, played in the awesome ISPSHanda Ladies European Tour Masters ProAm, played in the Ian Poulter Invitational and met my idol Poulter, passed my Level 1 coaching and was a finalist in the BBC Sport Wales awards in the Young Coach of the Year category. I also caddied for one of the blue box lads when he played in a comp at Celtic Manor. A photo of me was used on the IJP website and emailed out for a competition they run (I love IJP clothing), and I also won Best Overall Junior at the junior awards night at Rhondda Golf Club.

So far in 2016 I've continued to volunteer as much as I can, had Under 18's Glamorgan County Coaching, played in the Glamorgan County Spring Meeting, volunteered with Golf Development Wales at the Street Golf games at Cardiff Stadium, took part in the Valleys Golf Fire Golf and took part in Swansea Inclusive Futures Regional Camp. I've not been able to play as much as I’d like to but am doing as much volunteering and playing as I am able to and am hoping to find out what is up and get it helped/sorted/treated if or when the tests show anything then get back on form and busy busy busy as I was before.

Ian Poulter Invitational 2015

My dream came true on Monday July 27th 2015. I took part in the Ian Poulter Invitational. We arrived and mam managed to hold up Poulter as we pulled in lol. We went in and registered and the got given Oakley sunglasses then I got to finally meet my inspiration Ian Poulter and get a professional photo taken with him and he complimented me on my IJP tartans. Then we picked up our goodie bag. I went out to do putting and chipping practice and then onto the range. After that we drove up to the 10th tee and after a sausage bap my turn came to tee off. The Marquess' course is absolutely stunning and superb condition. I played really well and only 2 small blips, came to one green and had a delicate chip on and as I was setting up Poulter arrived so that was a real nerve wracking shot but I did ok. He then came over to chat and also had a photo with me by my IJP bag and then held the flag for us while we all putted. He then said bye and moved on to the group behind and we carried on our round. I had a great chip in on a par 3 just before the end of our round. I shot 32 stableford points and had a fantastic time and loved the round and course. After the round as mam loaded the car to head back from the 10th Luke, Ian's son, asked me how my round had gone. After I had another photo with Ian and he signed my book (his autobiography). We then watched a clinic by Poulter and got to ask questions and I asked loads. After the clinic I personally thanked him for such an amazing opportunity and amazing day. Then it was prize giving and then we had to head home. Amazing day and fantastic memories.....dreams do come true :)

Royal Porthcawl Junior Open

This year Royal Porthcawl agreed to use the R&A adjusted rules for disabled golfers after id asked them if they would be willing to. So I played in the junior open, I really enjoyed the round, not an easy round as we had 6 club winds at some points so very brutal but I really enjoyed the round and didn't play too badly either :)

ISPSHanda Ladies Masters ProAm 2015

I was extremely lucky to be invited by Craig Thomas my coach to take part in the ProAm and play on one of the ISPSHanda teams. We had a morning tee time and we were a junior team playing along side Stacey Keating. We played really good golf and got some really good scores tho as the morning went on the temperature really took its toll and it was 34C by time we finished our round. We narrowly missed out on 3rd place. It was awesome to also catch up with friends female pro Whitney Hillier and also her partner Becky Brewerton's caddy Benji Brewer. Fantastic day :)

Practice.....

I've not really had the season id hoped for despite putting in a lot of practice but it doesn't stop me practicing more....plus there's been junior 1st team matches for Rhondda and also Brynmeadows.

Volunteering.

I still do lots of volunteering. Not as much has been at coaching as classes stopped until August but I've appeared on behalf of RCT Future Champions and done a small speech and gave an award at the Young Carers event. I also volunteered with Golf Development Wales at The Celebrity Cup which was cool and I even dressed as the mascot.

Blue box nights.

Sorry I've not kept up to date with my blog.

Every Wednesday evening now I join the Blue box kids when they play their comps, sometimes I take part too using just a Pitching Wedge and putter...great to be out encouraging the younger ones but also good to have to improvise with one club and also play a 250 plus yard hole off blues into wind with a Pitching Wedge.
